The OBD2 16-Pin Male Connector Plug (J1962M) is the standard interface plug used in automotive on-board diagnostics (OBD-II) systems. This connector serves as the male counterpart to the vehicle's Data Link Connector (DLC), allowing diagnostic tools, scanners, and other devices to communicate with the vehicle's ECU .
Designed to meet SAE J1962 specifications, this connector is universally compatible with all OBD-II compliant vehicles manufactured since 1996 in the United States, as well as many vehicles worldwide .
